The Pivot

My four years as a software developer told me two things: First, I am deeply in love with technology and second, I will both enjoy and be more effective on the business side of technology. The two years at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School provided that pivot from being a techie to a biz-techie.

Graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. 100% tuition scholarship; GMAT 770.

During my MBA, I served as the President of the Goizueta Technology Association, Vice-President of the International Business Association and a core team member of the Business School blog. For my contribution to the community, I was awarded the MBA meritorious service award (Five recipients in the graduating class of 200+ students)

Key Projects

Digital Strategy for BPR Properties

Post-MBA Internship for a boutique hotel chain BPR Properties (now Radiate Hospitality)

Generated Market Segmentation to uncover consumer insights and develop social media profiles for three largest hotels of the chain. Outlined distinct social strategies for each hotel. Conducted vendor landscape analysis of various social media reputation management tools and recommended the best tool at the chain level.

Diagnosed performance issues with the Search Engine Marketing program, made recommendations for improvements and devised a financial model for optimal ROAS.

Social Media Strategy for Manheim Auctions

Experiential Learning Project with the world's largest car auction company

We worked with marketing leadership of Manheim to define what social media strategy, if any, the company should pursue. Through a series of stakeholder & customer interviews, surveys, deep data analysis & market landscape analysis, we recommended that instead of entering the world of Twitter & Facebook, Manheim should get launch private social media commnuities for dealers & employees.

Unlike most student project recommendations, this one actually got adopted by Manheim leadership. (See case study below).
